3rd stage of IRGC military drill starts

The third stage of the IRGC military exercises called the “Noblest Messenger 5” started in the Persian Gulf region with the attack of the hypothetical enemy.

The military drills coincides with the 31st anniversary of establishment of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps.

The IRGC's naval, air and ground forces are taking part in the major drills that is designed to display Iran's deterrent military power to help establish security in the strategic region.

The wargames are to demonstrate the country's defensive capabilities and its determination to maintain security in the region.

During the previous stages of the military drill the IRGC forces carried out complicated operations involving mine-carrying divers and rocket-launching vessels.

The air units from the armed forces successfully tested homemade drones capable of detecting and intercepting intruding aircraft.

The IRGC also unveiled a homemade sonar-evading vessel in the initial phase of the drills on Thursday.

The remote-controlled boat called “Ya Mahdi” carried high-intensity rockets capable of destroying any targets on water surface.
