Ahmadinejad: Insecurity in Middle East comes from outside

50062 Afran
Tehran, April 21, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said insecurity in the Middle East is caused by forces outside this region.

According to the Presidential Office Website, Ahmadinejad in an interview with the German TV network R.T.L. said since 60 years ago, several wars have broken out in the Middle East all of which originated outside this region.
“5 wars started by the Zionist regime; 2 wars by Saddam Hussein who was completely supported by the European governments, and 2 wars started by the US government and NATO.”
“Native people had no role in these wars and elements of insecurity were all outside the region. The Zionist regime does not belong to the Middle East and represents certain western and US governments in the region and has no historical or cultural ties with the regional nations.”
President Ahmadinejad said if NATO and the US do not interfere in the Middle East, this region will be secure.
On a question about Iran’s position on the Zionist regime, President Ahmadinejad said, ”Many Europeans agree with our opinion on the Zionist regime. Why should taxpayers in Europe pay for genocide in Gaza? Why should the Zionists be exempt from tax charges? The Europeans are not happy with the Zionists. Why Should the Germans be blackmailed by the Zionists after 60 years and their money be spent for killing the innocent people of Gaza?”
“I’m sure that people in Europe and America are against genocide, killing children and women, warmongering, and invasion.”
“Certain western countries intend to dominate oil and other resources in the Middle East and this is the root cause of the regional problems. The western countries should be content with their rights. They are ready to kill the nations in the region in order to dominate their wealth.
