Tehran, April 21, IRNA – An IRGC commander said the Islamic Republic is to launch a joint exercise with Muslim nations in the Persian Gulf and Hormuz Strait soon.
Spokesman of the military exercises of Holy Prophet 5 Brigadier General Ali-Reza Tangsiri said the message of the military drill which is to be conducted on Thursday, is “peace and friendship for all neighboring states”.
He added that these military exercises of the Islamic Revolution’s Guards Corps (IRGC) forces will be launched in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
The ground, air and naval units of the IRGC will participate in the three-day exercise which is aimed at preserving the security of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Oman, Brigadier General Tangsiri said, adding that a range of home-built missiles will be test fired during the operations.
Various kinds of short range missiles will be also fired during the military maneuver which is to be done in four separate stages, the commander added.
