Iran’s President Mahmood Ahmadinejad said here on Thursday that the UN Security Council, which should be guarantor of nations’ security, serves certain domineering powers.
Addressing a press conference along with his Zimbabwean counterpart Robert Mugabe, Ahmadinejad said the two governments and nations of Iran and Zimbabwe move in favor of nations' independence, freedom and interests and strive for promotion of peace, equality, security in the region and the world.

He said Iran and Zimbabwe are subject to wrath of the empirical and domineering powers and their nations are under heavy pressures of the arrogant and colonialist powers for nearly 30 years.

The only sin of the Iranian and Zimbabwean nations is that they have put an end to advantages and illegitimate interests of the arrogant states, added the president.

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe said here on Thursday that both Iran and Zimbabwe are against colonialism and imperial powers, standing firm to defend their rights and independence.
Addressing a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart President Mahmood Ahmadinejad, Mugabe said Iran-Zimbabwe ties are strong and they have tight relations in the international level with regards to global issues.

He said he is confident that both sides would in the future draw up necessary frameworks for better mutual cooperation.
