Uganda underlines all countries' rights to access nuclear technology

Tehran, April 18, IRNA – Uganda Minister of State for International Cooperation underlined all countries' rights for access to nuclear technology.

In a meeting with Secretary of Supreme National Security Council ( SNSC) Saeed Jalili, Henry Oryem Okello underscored all countries' rights for access to peaceful nuclear technology and said that armament competition of countries with nuclear bombs is an element which increases insecurity in international system.
He added that Iran, by defending its own nuclear rights, is actually defending all countries' nuclear rights.
Referring to the positive achievements of Uganda president's visit to Iran, he expressed hope that President Ahmadinejad's visit to Uganda leads to cooperation development in different political, economic and scientific fields.
Jalili underlined development in and deepening ties among south countries and said such relations are beneficial to all these nations and added that African countries have high potentials for cooperation and by using appropriate methods of management, they will come over their problems.
He said that private sectors of both countries can promote economic and commercial exchanges between Iran and Uganda.
The two sides also underlined development of relations and beginning of a new era of cooperation.
