Tehran, April 16, IRNA – The First International Conference on Poets of Iran and World will be held here at Vahdat Hall on Saturday.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will open the meeting where a group of Iran's cultural officials as well as 50 foreign and 50 Iranian poets will attend.
The guests are scheduled to visit Iran’s historical city of Isfahan on Sunday.
The conference, running from April 17-21 in Tehran as well as the cities of Isfahan and Shiraz, aims to introduce poets from around the world and establish dynamic interactions among them.
