Tehran, April 9, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has just unveiled the first model of the third generation of machines for uranium enrichment, the so-called third generation centrifuges.
President Ahmadinejad unveiled the achievement on the sidelines of National Nuclear Festival, underway at Mild Tower of Tehran.
Moreover, the first model of the fuel for Tehran Research Reactor was unveiled.
Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali-Akbar Salehi had already said in an address to the meeting that young Iranian scientists at the AEOI managed to design machines for production of the third generation of centrifuges.
Salehi said the machines had successfully passed their mechanical tests.
He added that the machines have the separation power six times that the first generation machines.
