Tehran, April 9, IRNA – The main test needed before operation of Bushehr nuclear power plant will start on the day marking National Nuclear Festival, said the official in charge of the project.
Jaafari said the “warm-water test” at the plant, near the southern port city of Bushehr, will examine all the facility’s equipment under high temperatures.
Jaafari added that the 110-bar and 250-bar pressure tests and the steel ball test had previously conducted successfully in the power plant.
All phases for installation of equipment have been completed, said the official, adding that experts are now working round the clock to put the first nuclear power plant of the country into operation.
Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali-Akbar Salehi had already expressed hope that Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant will be fully operational by spring season.
