50035 Afran
Tehran, April 6, IRNA – The Foreign Ministry spokesman invited Tuesday the countries which advocate nuclear disarmament to attend Tehran’s nuclear disarmament meeting on April 17-18.

Ramin Mihman-Parast made the remarks at his first weekly press briefing after the start of the new year (Nowruz) of the Iranian calendar.

Mihman-Parast told reporters the Islamic Republic of Iran has invited delegations from 60 world countries to participate in the Tehran meeting.

He added a number of officials and representatives from the international bodies including the United Nations (UN), International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as well as any related organizations to the issue have also been invited to the disarmament meeting.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman later hoped Tehran’s nuclear disarmament meeting would witness a serious and strong move towards the global demilitarization.

The spokesman said Iran believes that all world nations should make efforts to prevent any country from using nuclear weapons.

Mihman-Parast said, in addition, the action would bring about stability to societies.

Tehran’s disarmament meeting will be held based on the theme of “Nuclear Energy for Everybody, Nuclear Weapon for Nobody.”
