The Chair of Iran's Red Crescent Society asserted that in the recent report of the International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC) and Red Crescent Societies, Iran was ranked fifth in disaster management.
Ahmed Esfandiari said emergency encampment for more than the 2% of the population, mentioned in the 4th Development Plan, had been prepared.
Ahmed Esfandiari added that Iran was among the suppliers of items required on emergency occasions.
He continued that according to the 5th Development Plan emergency encampment for more than 5 percent of the population should be provided.
Acquiring modern equipments and expanding air rescue services were what Esfandiari spoke of as the society's plan in future.
