Mottaki departs for Algiers

Tehran, March 31, IRNA – Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, heading a delegation, departed Tehran for Algiers on Wednesday morning.
The visit aims to expand bilateral ties with Algeria.
During the visit, the Iranian delegation is to prepare grounds for holding a joint high committee meeting between the two countries, the first of which will be held in near future.
Mottaki will also discuss and exchange views with Algerian senior officials on international and regional issues, especially Middle East and Palestine.
The two countries have signed 40 cooperation documents in recent years and during the visit of Algerian president to Tehran last year, both presidents agreed to promote chairmanship level of the joint economic commission to first vice-president and prime minister.
