The Liberia Football Association has named Hungarian Bertalan Besckei as coach of the national team - the Lone Star.
Former assistant to immediate past national coach Antoine Hey, Gray Hazel, former national team captain Joe Nagbe and former national team goal keeper Pewee Bestman were selected deputy, trainer and goal keeper trainer respectively.

However, the LFA president Musa Bility has placed an embargo on the three assistants to coach Besckei pending financial and other discussions with them. He said it would not be proper to employ staffers of the senior technical team without the involvement of the selected head coach.

Meanwhile, the LFA president left the country on Monday to attend the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa. He will join his two vice presidents - Musa Shannon and Adolph Lawrence - who departed last Saturday.

While attending the congresses leading to the outdoor program of the world cup gala, Bility is scheduled to meet with FIFA president Joseph Sepp Blatter and the head of the Asian Football Federation Mohammed Bin Hammam.
