President Jacob Zuma will be meeting top ranked politicians in India as his official state visit in that country gains momentum. Zuma will be in the Indian capital New Delhi tomorrow where he will hold discussions with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Pratibha Patil.
President Zuma and his wife Nompumelelo arrived in India this morning on his first official state visit to Asia since occupying office. Accompanying him is a strong business delegation of top South African company CEOs, as well as several cabinet ministers.

"The visit provides an opportunity to strengthen the strong bilateral relationship that both countries share while addressing and promoting the importance of trade, industrialisation, agricultural development, transport development, communication and international affairs," says Zuma.

Zuma will also deliver a keynote address at the re-launch of the India-South Africa CEO forum in Mumbai tomorrow. The presidency said the launch of the CEO forum between the two countries, also to be attended by a delegation of over 200 South African business people, is aimed at boosting investment and trade ties. – Additional reporting by Sapa
