Tunisia extends state of emergency

| Tunisia has extended the state of emergency in the country until the end of October following an attack on the US embassy that killed four people.
A source in the president’s office said on Thursday that the state of emergency has been extended “until October 31, 2012, to counter all risks of violence and ensure the security of diplomatic missions after the attack on the American embassy.”
On September 14, angry Tunisian demonstrators protesting against an anti-Islam movie produced in the US broke into the embassy in the capital Tunis. At least four people were killed and dozens others were injured in the incident.
The protesters also pulled down the US flag.
Numerous demonstrations against the anti-Islam blasphemy have been held across the Muslim world and in some non-Muslim countries over the past days.
Muslim protesters across the globe demand the US government apologize over the sacrilegious five-million-dollar movie, which was reportedly financed by a group of Zionist Jews.
The issue of the sacrilegious movie was followed by the publication of cartoons insulting Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in the satirical French weekly Charlie Hebdo on September 19.
