Iran FM: Iran eager to expand two-way, multilateral ties with Uganda

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said Friday that Iran is ready for stronger bilateral or multi-lateral cooperation with Uganda with an approach in its foreign policy to promote vision to Africa.
Talking to Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, the Iranian top diplomat said Iran and Uganda should expedite implementation of the already reached agreements to upgrade mutual economic relations and utilize their rich experience and potential in the industrial, oil, gas, and farming sectors.

He said Iran is ready to contribute to commissioning of industrial and oil projects in Uganda, including refinery construction, tractor assembly line, mechanized farming and infrastructural projects.
