Persian New year marked at hospital in Tanzania

Iran and Tanzania Friendship Society held a festival on the occasion of the new Iranian year in Darussalam.

The festival was held at a hospital in the city with participation of IRI's Cultural Attaché and Ambassador to Tanzania, members of the two countries' Friendship Society, Director General of hospitals in Tanzania as well as all staff and patients of the Ocean Road Hospital.

Head of IRI-Tanzania Friendship Society Mohammad Hassan Shirazi told IRIB reporter that the festivity was aimed at showing the Iranian nation has kept its humanitarian traditions as well as visiting elderly and patients at the beginning of year.

Iran's Ambassador to Tanzania too told IRIB that the Islamic Republic of Iran had always been a supporter of the oppressed and needy people in the world, especially those in Africa.
